The ASMF-WA are proud to be recognised by the Department of Transport for our ongoing contribution to the Vehicle Modification Working Group.

Working closely with a panel of automotive consultants and relevant stakeholders since 2020, the ASMF-WA have represented the voice of motor vehicle enthusiasts and taken part in the research and investigation of standard regulations to promote the sport of street machining and encourage more classic cars on WA roads.

As a result of nation-wide growth and development in the automotive sector, the National Transport Commission (NTC) have announced the implementation of a formal committee panel to address the governance of vehicle standards and regulations on federal level.

Scheduled to come into effect in early 2023, the ASMF-WA have been invited to take part in the conversation and have begun preparing a formal submission of our research and findings to be presented to the committee within the upcoming weeks.
